The federal requirements to protect student financial aid information are found in both the Program Participation Agreement (PPA) and the Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) Enrollment Agreement. These regulations commit institutions to securely maintaining and processing financial aid information. This includes adherence to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA). In this presentation, Ohio University will share the financial aid office efforts in GLBA compliance and data security.
